This rule applies to NSDA district tournaments and the National Speech & Debate Tournament. Students may not reuse a cutting they used in a previous year. Students are also prohibited from using the same cutting in multiple events in the same year. For example, if a student used a cutting from a play at the 2021 district tournament in Dramatic Interp, they are not permitted to use that cutting Prose at the 2021 National Tournament or in any event at the district or National Tournament in the following years.
