Giving
Ways to Give
There are many ways to make a gift that will allow this generation of young people to learn essential life skills through speech and debate. There are three broad categories:
- Annual Fund giving – make a one-time or monthly gift which has an immediate impact on the greatest needs of the speech and debate teams.
- Memorial Funds – which allow for a long-term investment in speech and debate as a way to show appreciation for people in your life.
- Planned Giving – which generally refers to including the NSDA in part of your estate plans.
Have a business that wants to support speech and debate? We also offer sponsorship opportunities that allow your organization’s to reach our vast membership while supporting the next generation. For more information, email nicole@speechanddebate.org
Annual Giving
Your one-time or monthly gift allows your investment to impact the most immediate priorities to help more young people access essential life skills through speech and debate. Your gift plays a central role in bringing opportunities to under-resourced students and schools. Every dollar raised through our annual giving provides:
- Training materials like textbooks and video how-tos
- Grants and scholarships
- Free and accessible online competition
- Honor Society recognition for local participation
Your support provides the full speech and debate experience for students in the fiscal year it is received.

Specific memorial funds also allow you to ensure a permanent legacy of support in the name of an individual. Learn more about the following funds:

- Harold Keller Fund for Congressional debate,
- Lanny & B.J. Naegelin Fund for Dramatic Interpretation,
