In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), we are committed to providing reasonable accommodations that ensure full access and meaningful participation for all individuals attending the National Tournament.
ADA Accommodations will be considered to support a wide range of access needs. In addition, our Wristband Exemption provides an option for participants who are unable to wear a required wristband due to medical or related needs, while also supporting event security. This option requires some additional documentation. Through our Bag Exemption, individuals with medical, caregiving, or infant-care needs may request exceptions to the tournament bag and outside-food policies.
Please complete this form to request an ADA accommodation or an exemption to the wristband or bag policies for the National Tournament. Please note: only coaches may submit accommodation requests on behalf of students. Requests may be submitted and will be reviewed through the day before the tournament begins; however, we strongly encourage coaches to submit requests as early as possible to allow sufficient time for review and implementation. Decisions will be communicated via email.
Once competition begins on Monday, wristband accommodation requests must be submitted in person at your building’s tournament office. Other accommodations may still be submitted via this form, but responses may be delayed.
If you have any questions regarding tournament accessibility, please contact Dr. Paul Porter at paul.porter@speechanddebate.org.
